WHAT IS FLAVA?
Fordham Flava, Fordham University's Only Hip Hop Team, is a talented team of dedicated dancers and creative choreographers. We work together to grow as dancers through the creative process of choreographing, practicing, and performing what we create.
FALL
During the Fall Semester we focus on practicing to perform at various on campus club events
Our Fall Caf performance (pictured left) is when we perform for our classmates aka: ~Dinner AND a Flava Show~
*Auditions for Fall Semester are usually held near the end of September - Exact date TBA
SPRING
During the Spring Semester we dedicate our time to producing a themed showcase to perform around the end of the semester
As a team, we teach each other our choreography, practice, and participate in the creative process of creating a show
*Spring auditions are usually held near the end of January - Exact date TBA
AUDITION PROCESS
*We welcome anyone to try out for Flava no matter their level of experience*

Here's how it works:

We teach a combo then have everyone perform it in groups
-
Then we put on a song and ask the group to freestyle so we can see how you interpret music as well as see some of your personality :)

Then we make first round cuts and then teach another combo to have groups perform again

PRACTICE
Flava practices every night Monday - Thursday 7pm to 9pm/10pm
(practice hours may vary in Spring)
